Day Thirty Five

Sorry for the grainy pictures today, it was dark and rainy this morning!  I wore this cream colored dress today that I picked up at gap outlet last winter.  I paired it with a new leopard print belt, brown patterned tights, and tan booties.  I love the touch of leopard in the skinny belt!

Day Thirty Four

Not sure if day thirty four is the right count now, we've been out of school for so long!  Hurricane Sandy really hit us hard here in the Northeast, and our school really saw the brunt of it.  We are back in action this week, so I'll pick up there!

I'm never sure how to wear these pants, but I like them rolled up with flats.  It was warmer here today, so I thought I could get away with a no socks day.  I wore a white top with a blue and white striped sweater to finish the look.

Day Thirty Three

 Today was an all black day with some hints (or maybe shades) of grey. :)  I paired skinny black jeans with this poncho chevron print top.  This top is super comfy and not too hot, which is perfect for teaching all day!  I wore it with my favorite black booties, but this outfit would look great with a full boot as well.

Day Thirty Two

 Pulling out an oldie, but goodie! This dress is a bit large, but cinched with a belt, it works!  I paired it with a new pair of boots (love them!).  Cute and comfy!

Day Thirty One

Today I wore a dress that I had originally bought to wear as a bathing suit coverup! It was always too warm, so I decided to pull it out and try it as a dress.  I think it works fine!  I wasn't sure what color boots to put with the grey and navy stripe and decided on my camel and black pair, but I think other colors would have worked also.  There's always next time I wear it!

Day Thirty

 I'm a bit behind on posting my outfits, so I'm trying to catch up a bit! I didn't post last Thursday and Friday because both days were Union shirt days and frankly pretty boring! Let's pick up with this Monday.  I put together a houndstooth print pencil skirt and lace tank top.  I then wore a sequined sweater over that and completed it with my favorite booties.  Love this black and white look!

Day Twenty Nine

Today was picture day!  Everyone looked especially spiffy in today's outfits.  I opted for a solid colored dress so that I wouldn't stand out too much (good thing I did because I had to sit in the front row of the staff picture!).  In good news, this time last year this dress was a bit snug and now fits perfectly...yay!  I finished the dress with a skinny belt and my fav booties.

Day Twenty Eight

 So is it crazy to build an outfit around a necklace?  That is what I did today.  My Mom picked up this pretty necklace recently and I wanted to bring together the blacks and tans of the different metals to make an outfit.  I started with an all black base and added my favorite belt (a student asked me today if I owned any other belts because I ALWAYS wear this one).  Perfect match!

A nice cool dress for today.  They've turned the heat on in our building and it is sweltering with all of the kids in the room! I paired this dress with a skinny adjustable grey belt, and my favorite booties!

 Another Friday! I wore lots of layers today starting with a striped tank, my fav shirt :), and a sweater.  Paired with jeans and camel colored boots, it is complete!

 I've got an outfit today that I loved! This grey and red "poncho" sweater is just too cute! I paired it with a grey skirt that I bought last spring and my fav new black booties.  This necklace is one from Lia Sophia, and it goes with everything!

Day Twenty Four

Rocking the fall clothes again! I'm loving all of the skinny jeans I have gotten this fall in a wide range of colors.  These are a fun light grey and go with just about anything!  I paired them today with a sequined animal print top and a black blazer with grey trimming.  These are the same boots I wore yesterday, but you can see them so much better in this photo!  I ended up coming home and retaking this photo today because there has not been enough light in the morning to get a good shot lately.  Sometimes I come home looking a mess :) but today was a good day!

Day Twenty Three

 I don't know what is going on this week, but I've been getting really dark photos! I apologize in advance because I tried to lighten these up but they turned out grainy!  I'm working on better options!

Today I dressed for warmth with black skinny jeans and boots.  The boots are two toned with black quilting on the bottom and camel colored top (hard to see here).  I work a longer sweater with a ruffle edge and purple lace cardigan.  I finished it with my favorite purple belt!

Day Twenty Two

 Fall has officially arrived here in the Northeast!  It was freezing today and definitely tights and boots weather.  I paired this pretty scarf with the purple dress, and finished it off with grey tights and black booties.  I ended up making the scarf into a faux infinity scarf by the time I got to work, but didn't get a picture of that.  Can't wait to throw together more fall outfits this week!

It's Friday...and union shirt day!  Yes, it's tucked under this blazer, and possibly cute?! I keep trying to find stylish ways to wear it!  I put a white tank underneath the shirt, and then topped it with a striped blazer.  I love these comfy slipper-shoes that I recently bought and were perfectly comfortable today!

 I'm working the POP of color today, again on the bottom half.  I have similar colored pants I wore a couple of weeks ago, and this skirt is another color option in this popular shade.  I paired it with a simple chambray shirt, grey patterned tights and booties.  My new fav QVC belt completes it!

Day Nineteen

 Today's outfit includes a very recent addition to my wardrobe...this beautiful corduroy jacket! I was in the gap yesterday, and suddenly I spotted this beauty.  It was like a light was shining down upon it and the Gods were singing...haha!  Best of all with a rewards coupon and 10% Tuesday discount it cost me...are you ready...$13!!  Best deal ever!  The color worked perfectly with the stripe running through this dress/tunic that I already had.  Love a good deal!

Day Eighteen

 Fall has arrived! It finally feels cool enough to wear tights and boots, so I pulled them out for my outfit today.  I picked up these tights at Target a few weeks ago, and they were the perfect color to go with this dress.  The booties are a new addition to my shoe wardrobe, and are comfy and cute...perfect!

Day Seventeen

 Happy Monday!  Trying out some new fall clothes I purchased this year today.  I got this super cute shirt dress from the Gap last month.  It can be worn many different ways, which makes it even better!  I paired it with some boots, but it was a bit chilly this morning, so I might have to break out the tights soon!  I decided to put the belt with it as well, however it does have a draw string waist.  Easy and cute...perfect!

Day Sixteen

It's Friday! That means it is "wear your union shirt day".  I had a late night last night and wanted something simple today, so I paired the shirt with skinny jeans and a brown tank top underneath.  Simple but gets the point across!

Day Fifteen

 This fashion day was all about wearing the spring/summer clothing I bought this year and never wore!  Pretty soon they will be packed away to make room for the fall/winter clothes.  These cute pants have a thin black and white stripe and are seer-sucker material.  I never got around to wearing them this year despite how cute they are!  Glad I got a chance today.  The top I've had for a few seasons longer, and it got a bit lost in my closet (that seems to happen often to me)!

Day Fourteen

 So I brought out the boots again for today's outfit.  I loved the way they looked, but now seeing the pictures I'm  not sure if it worked with this outfit...what do you think?
I bought this skirt on clearance a few weeks ago at loft and haven't had a chance to wear it yet.  I was going through my closet last night pulling out summery clothes to switch to fall and found it way in the back...oops! I paired it with the sequin deep purple sweater and simple tank for a nice fall combo.

Day Thirteen

 Howdy! I'm rocking the cowboy look today with my jean jacket and boots.  Yesterday I went to a rodeo, and wore a very similar outfit, and loved the way it looked.  I recreated it today to wear to work. I love the jean jacket look, I think it goes with almost everything.  I'm really looking forward to trying it with a lacy white dress...love the contrast of cowboy and feminine.

Day Twelve

 Today was red, white, and blue spirit day which you will see reflected here!  It was also "wear your union shirt" day.  That made it super easy to wear blue!  I thought the red pants would be the perfect touch, and they were super cute and will look so nice this fall! Can't wait to plan more outfits around them!

Day Eleven

After a long day yesterday I wanted something comfy today, so decided to wear leggings.  I purchased this cute tunic at a store called "Charming Charlie" in the spring.  They have color coded jewelry and clothing throughout the store.  It's a fashion girl's dreamland!  Since the outfit was very neutral-colored, I paired it with a yellow cardigan with a tan stripe throughout.  Comfy and cute!
