Day Sixteen

It's Friday! That means it is "wear your union shirt day".  I had a late night last night and wanted something simple today, so I paired the shirt with skinny jeans and a brown tank top underneath.  Simple but gets the point across!

Day Fifteen

This fashion day was all about wearing the spring/summer clothing I bought this year and never wore!  Pretty soon they will be packed away to make room for the fall/winter clothes.  These cute pants have a thin black and white stripe and are seer-sucker material.  I never got around to wearing them this year despite how cute they are!  Glad I got a chance today.  The top I've had for a few seasons longer, and it got a bit lost in my closet (that seems to happen often to me)!

Day Fourteen

So I brought out the boots again for today's outfit.  I loved the way they looked, but now seeing the pictures I'm  not sure if it worked with this outfit...what do you think?
I bought this skirt on clearance a few weeks ago at loft and haven't had a chance to wear it yet.  I was going through my closet last night pulling out summery clothes to switch to fall and found it way in the back...oops! I paired it with the sequin deep purple sweater and simple tank for a nice fall combo.

Day Thirteen

Howdy! I'm rocking the cowboy look today with my jean jacket and boots.  Yesterday I went to a rodeo, and wore a very similar outfit, and loved the way it looked.  I recreated it today to wear to work. I love the jean jacket look, I think it goes with almost everything.  I'm really looking forward to trying it with a lacy white dress...love the contrast of cowboy and feminine.

Day Twelve

Today was red, white, and blue spirit day which you will see reflected here!  It was also "wear your union shirt" day.  That made it super easy to wear blue!  I thought the red pants would be the perfect touch, and they were super cute and will look so nice this fall! Can't wait to plan more outfits around them!

Day Eleven

After a long day yesterday I wanted something comfy today, so decided to wear leggings.  I purchased this cute tunic at a store called "Charming Charlie" in the spring.  They have color coded jewelry and clothing throughout the store.  It's a fashion girl's dreamland!  Since the outfit was very neutral-colored, I paired it with a yellow cardigan with a tan stripe throughout.  Comfy and cute!

Day Ten

Back to work today after a nice four day break.  What a treat that was!  Tonight was back to school night so it was a long day back after a break.  I had originally planned to change into a different navy blue dress for the evening, but decided to stay in this dress instead.  It worked fine!  I added the belt to match the camel color in my shoes.  The long necklace adds a nice touch and elongates the torso.

Day Nine

Finally Friday!  I learned today that every Friday will now be "wear your union shirt day" so I'm going to have to think of some more cute ways to style that shirt!  I enjoyed my last Friday of fashion freedom however!  This is my fav maxi skirt that I bought last spring paired with a flowy white shirt.  Cute and comfy!  No school for us here on Monday and Tuesday in honor of the Jewish holiday, so see you next Wednesday!

Day Eight

A day late! I went to see Darius Rucker in concert last night, and didn't have a spare moment to post yesterday's outfit.  The concert was awesome, maybe even my favorite concert ever!

Here is my pop of color today...magenta pants!  I had wanted this color in skinny jeans, but saw these khakis at gap and thought they'd be just as cute.  I think this style looks best with a heel on me.  With a rolled cuff, it looks super!

Day Seven

A nice neutral outfit today.  I could have popped a color in there, but decided to keep in the cream and black family with silver jewelry.  I put a solid black tee-shirt under the black and cream strip jumper and paired it with black leggings.  I wore this same outfit this summer without the leggings, but it is getting a bit cooler here so I decided to cover the legs!  I have a nice POP of color planned for tomorrow!

Day Six

New day, new look.  You will see Fall reflected into today's outfit.  When I woke up this morning it was 51 degrees outside! We did a total 180 from last week's 95 degrees!  The day did get warmer, but only into the high 70s (I feel like a weather reporter right now!).  I was comfortable all day in this lightweight sweater.  I bought this owl scarf a few weeks ago, and wanted to wear it now so I designed the whole outfit around that piece.  I tied two ends of the scarf together to create a faux infinity scarf and then looped it around my neck twice.  It hung very nicely.  Check out Wendy's Lookbook for lots of scarf tying ideas!

I got my nails done today after school with a new Essie fall color: recessionista.  I love the deep plum look! Of course I will have to plan my outfits around my nails for the rest of the week! :)

Day Five

First Monday of the school year... I love Mondays actually because the kids have chorus for 50 minutes in the afternoon giving me some extra prep time!  On to the outfit!  I loved this dress when I bought it last spring and just finally got around to wearing it today!  I bought a belt to match it (that would also go with plenty of other things) but it wasn't working today.  With the ribbon belt it felt like too much.  It finally feels like back-to-school weather here so I paired the dress with this embellished cardigan.  I have to confess...I didn't make it the whole day in these shoes!  I've worn them before but for some reason they were rubbing (my toe) me wrong so I switched to flat sandals mid-morning.  Glad I brought a back-up!

Day Four

And our first week of school 2012 is in the history books! Overall it was a successful week.  Today was another union shirt day (twice in one week...ugh!).  It is so hard to make this tee-shirt look fashionable!  I paired it with a denim skirt and colorful belt.  I added camel colored sandals to complete the look.

Day Three

Today was the official first day of school with the kids.  It went very well and surprisingly was not extremely hot which made the day much more comfortable.  I went for cool again with my outfit and comfort.  I picked up this shirt dress at Loft outlet store and knew it'd be a perfect match to some of my short sleeve cardigans.  I've been wearing these mules for awhile to break them in and I lasted the whole day wearing them (woohoo!).

Day Two

Hello!  Today was another casual teacher day...tomorrow is the big first day with kids. I dressed for the weather today because it was miserably hot yesterday in the building.  I thought a skirt would be nice and flowy, and I recently spotted a style trend with a solid tee-shirt and floral skirt.  This skirt I got as a gift for my birthday from a good friend was a perfect pair with this gap lavendar tee-shirt.  The sandals were a nice match to the belt because they have similar textures (thanks Mom for the tip!).

Here is a headless view, LOL!

Day One

Welcome to my teacher fashion blog! I decided to start this blog for 2 reasons:
1.  It's a way for me to keep track of what I wear when.  Then when I'm struggling to find an outfit I can look back here.
2.  I thought it'd be fun to see how I've incorporated my own fashion sense into my career.
If you're joining me, welcome, and come along for the ride!

Today was the first day back for teachers.  We had a district meeting and union meeting this morning.  All teachers wore their union shirts, so I didn't have much choice in my outfit!  I tried to add some color with my shoes and some style with my belt.
